This course is a 20-week course. The cost is $2,200. We meet once a week for an hour. In this course you will be trained to use Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional or Legal, get prepared for certification, get all of the business training you need to walk seamlessly into your new career, and get trained in Eclipse CAT software. You can choose to work as a court reporter or as a professional caption provider. I have created a unique way to teach voice writing utilizing Dragon that has shown amazing results!

After learning my voice dictation method, you will begin speed building. I have developed a speed building platform that will help you seamlessly graduate through speeds. You will learn to troubleshoot so that you can continue to graduate through speed building to maintain the 95% or higher recognition required for your certification.

We’ll get you ready for your NVRA or state certification with quizzes and mock speed tests so that you feel confident. You will get feedback to help you improve all of your skills.

This course also has a career training section. You will learn how to transition from a student to a career professional. Get ready for success!

As a court reporter, you will learn about transcripts, editing and scoping, invoicing, etiquette, ethics, building relationships with judges and court personnel, and much more!

As a professional caption provider, you will learn about the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing culture, how to transmit captions, live caption etiquette, settings, dictionary building, live transcript editing, and much more.

You will also receive a month of Eclipse training. You’ll learn basic key functions that will help you produce professional and accurate transcripts with ease.
